Our debut appearance at education show BETT provides lots of lessons for the team.
Riello UPS’s busy year of trade shows got off to an early start with a January trip to ExCeL London for BETT 2020.
First staged in 1985 and originally known as the British Educational Training and Technology Show, BETT is the biggest trade event specifically for education professionals.
This year’s event also incorporated the Education Show for the first time in 28 years, making it an even more special one for us to make our debut!
Around 35,000 visitors made the trip to London for the four-day show.
That gave our team plenty of opportunities to speak about our range of award-winning UPS systems and superb range of support services.
Our stand incorporated a demo rack packed with some of our best-selling single-phase uninterruptible power supplies such as the Sentinel Rack (SER), Vision Dual (VSD) and Sentinel Dual (SDU).
We joined nearly 800 education technology suppliers at BETT, which this year featured several new zones including:
- Learning Tech Zone: exploring the relationship between tech and learning
- Teaching Tech: products and services to enhance lessons in the classroom
- Global Showcase Zone: leading brands such as Microsoft, Adobe and HP
- Equipment & Hardware Zone: the latest laptops, tablets and other devices
BETT also offered more than 180 hours of CPD-certified seminars and debates on key educational subjects.
Amongst the guest speakers was Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation Chris Skidmore MP, plus representatives from Microsoft, Ofsted, Google, and Hewlett Packard.
The author Michael Rosen also spoke about the importance of arts in the curriculum.
