We’re proud to support Nightingale House hospice’s “Build a Balloon” fundraising initiative.
Riello UPS is one of an exclusive number of corporate supporters for the Wrexham-based palliative care hospice’s new campaign.
The hospice hopes the fundraiser will generate much-needed revenue to aid its vital work across North East Wales with people and families living with life-limiting illnesses.
Like many charities, COVID-19 has hit Nightingale House hard, forcing the hospice to scrap many of its regular face-to-face fundraising schemes.
Through “Build a Balloon”, local residents and businesses like Riello UPS are sponsoring panels on a specially-commissioned hot air balloon.
The flying device forms a central part of the hospice’s 25th-anniversary celebrations and will take to the skies at several events over the coming months.
News of our involvement in the campaign is hitting the headlines across the electrical and data centre trade press, including the following publications:

“Our truly unique ‘Build a Balloon’ campaign was put together to help raise crucial funds which enable us to provide care for the most vulnerable people in our community.
“We are incredibly grateful to Riello UPS for their fantastic support, this venture would not be possible without their backing and we are excited for this magnificant spectacle to take to the skies this summer.”
– Sarah Povey, Community and Events Fundraiser for Nightingale House
