Each month we’ll be introducing you to different members of our power protection team here at Riello UPS. This month, it’s the turn of our Purchasing & Admin Supervisor, Kerry.
Name: Kerry Clorley
What do you do at Riello? Purchasing & Admin Supervisor. My role is to manage the stock levels and raising purchase orders for stock and none stock items, I am also responsible for the maintenance of the building which involves organising contractors to carry out repairs and services to the building.
Why do you like working at Riello? Since starting at Riello 4 years ago I have been able to develop my skills and have been given the opportunity to grow within the company, everyone is very helpful and make the working day very pleasurable and I enjoy coming to work.
How would your work colleagues describe you? Helpful, cheerful and can be very persistent which can be seen as annoying but that is the nature of my job having to obtain information to allow me to fulfil requirements.
What’s your proudest achievement so far, work and personal? Having been given the Supervisor role at work. Apart from my children, I climbed Snowdon in 2016 having never done any hill climbing and reaching the summit was such an achievement.
Tell us something about yourself that might surprise us: I once organised a five-a-side football tournament in my village hall and coached a girls’ team all for charity and we had team members from Shrewsbury Town Football Club presenting trophies.
Where did you last go on holiday? Tenerife
What track gets you on the dancefloor? I’m not confident in dancing so tend to shy away from the dance floor.
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without? Phone, sadly.
